Alan Turing

Death:June 7th, 1954

Academics and Awards:Turing studied at princeton and cambridge, and he recieved the smith's prize.

Main computer science contributions:Alan created the turing machine. The turing machine was basically the first modern computer. His invention built the groundwork for the rest of computers and computer science. Without him we would not have modern technology.
